Thanks to anybody who visits and reads my blog. Comments are welcome, but comment moderation is on to weed out spam or otherwise. If you don't think I'm politically correct, It's because I'm not. All that I post here is original, my innermost thoughts, views and opinions on everything. Here and there I might borrow stories and quotes, or post something funny I found on the web, or just a briefing on what's going on in my life. The Phoenix, bird of Greek mythology. After a lifespan of 500 to 1,000 years, the beautiful Phoenix would burn itself at stake. Out of the ashes, it would later arise, reborn. We are, in a way, lke the Phoenix. We can regenerate ourselves out of the ashes of a bad experience. Setbacks and tragedies can often serve as a springboard to arise, change and overcome. This is my personal metaphor and we can learn from it to help us cope in a raging world.
